A LETTER TO YOU FROM PRIMAL QUEST

Dear Friends and Fellow Athletes,

After turning over the reigns of Odyssey Adventure Racing to Ronny Angel and Hollie Flynn in February 2005, I gladly and most humbly accepted the position as Course Director for the Primal Quest Expedition Adventure Race.

In the 8 years I served as President and Race Director of Odyssey Adventure Racing I had the opportunity to direct and produce well over 100 multi-discipline events for athletes from around the world.

My background as an endurance and multi-sport athlete dates back to the mid-70s. I have competed in more than 1000 competitions and have learned a lot -- most importantly what an athlete looks for and expects in a world-class competition.

Now that I am older, slower and do not compete as much as I did in earlier years, I have set a new goal. I am putting my energy, resources and years of experience as an athlete and event coordinator into helping make the Primal Quest the “Greatest Adventure Race on the Planet”. This is a very lofty goal, but as we all do in our community, we set high goals, and then do all we can to achieve these goals.

I do not have the words to adequately express the grandness of this 10-day expedition level course -- its spectacular beauty, ruggedness and sheer remoteness. This adventure race is going to have everything any world-class competitor or amateur adventure racer could ever dream of.

Rich Brazeau, Primal Quest CEO, has done an exceptional job at lining up; TV coverage, media, sponsors, substantial prize money, the layout of the course, regional, state and local support and so many other integral parts of the race. Together we are expanding the PQ race management team with some of the best and most experienced in the business. We expect the June 2006 event to receive more television and media coverage than any other AR event in the sport’s history.

There will be much more information on the June 27 – July 5, 2006 event on the ecoprimalquest.com web site in the next few weeks. I would highly recommend that you register early, as you really do not want to miss this epic event.
