Testimonials:
“Listening to Don Mann talk, to our world-wide team of over 500 employees and executives, about his experience climbing Mount Kilimanjaro was engaging, moving and inspiring. He went beyond the mere description of the expedition to make all listeners participate of the challenges encountered and the group’s drive to overcome obstacles. He is a speaker able to convey powerful, empowering messages that encourage others to reach higher.”-IBM, Global Financing, Marketing and Strategy

“We had a powerful line-up of speakers on Thursday and Friday. Our post workshop surveys indicate that your presentation was the most appreciated and beneficial. Numerous dealers inquired about bringing you into their stores to speak with their management teams. You are truly an extension of our team–and will play a key role in elevating our team’s future performance.” -Todd, Chrysler, Blue Prints for Profits

“I recently had the pleasure of arranging and attending a presentation by Don Mann. The group that Don addressed, the Mortgage Bankers Association of Georgia (MBAG), is comprised of mortgage bankers, attorneys, appraisers, executives, managers and sales professionals. The group, diverse in personality and interests, was united in their praise for Don’s message, delivery and absolutely unique perspective. Don Mann’s message of focus, determination and unwavering tenacity in the pursuit of any worthwhile goal has universal relevance. By wrapping the message in his “real life” stories he kept the audience riveted. Don’s story was not the normal hum and hype of many motivational speakers and sales trainers. Don’s presentation technique is understated, even quiet. The unassuming manner in which he delivers powerful principles is credible, very entertaining, and lasting. Once is not enough! I’m looking forward to Don’s encore presentation to my group later this year. I’ll be front row and center. – James A. G., Synovus Mortgage Corp

“Don Mann was the keynote speaker at our Regional Growth Program kickoff meeting in January of 2007. Don presented the “Combat Mindset” to our Financial Advisors, referencing his experiences during certain stages of his life – as a young athlete, as a professional athlete, as a Navy Seal, and as a Director of Adventure Races. Don’s message was clear and well delivered – it doesn’t matter how physically gifted you are, as long as you train your mind and develop a “combat mindset,” you can achieve anything you desire. Raising the bar and striving for the next level was consistently evident in every one of Don’s personal stories. The Financial Advisors were highly motivated and eager to learn more about Don’s approach after the presentation. Everyone in the room wanted to hear Don speak for additional time and we carried the presentation onto dinner. One thing I can say for certain – “motivational speakers” are a dime a dozen. It is truly moving when you hear Don speak because he is credible, legitimate, and honest. We were proud to have heard Don’s presentation and will continue to develop our relationship with him for future events. The cost for the presentation was lower than most other speakers we have hosted and Don delivered ten times the value. It was an outstanding way to start our 2007 Growth Program.” – Greg B., Merrill Lynch

“…Don’s presentation was entertaining but, most importantly, it really instilled in our group the principle that we are all capable of achieving personal greatness if we dare be proactive and step beyond the invisible boundaries we’ve set up around ourselves. Our company will often pay a fee, exceeding what we paid to Don, to send just one of our employees for training. I felt that our company received more than our money’s worth when I saw almost every person walk away enthused and talking about what they were going to do to ‘push their own boundaries’.” - Edward M., Chrysler

“Don, you were really terrific; the feedback has been great. It speaks volume that you stayed for dinner. I hope to speak with you soon.” -Carol N., Merrill Lynch

“Don, thank you very much for your time and for speaking to us. The feedback I received from everyone was exceptional. Anytime you would like to come back, let us know.” – Gregory B., Merrill Lynch

“Don, your presentation and stories were truly amazing yesterday. Unfortunately I was unable to stay for the dinner at Morton’s last night but wanted to take time to thank you for being such an inspiration and to thank you for your service to our country. You’re the man!!!” – Pete D., Merrill Lynch

“As part of my duties in the product strategy area of Chrysler, I arranged large townhall meetings and brought speakers in to address our personnel on key topics.  The feeling was that the only sustainable competitive advantage a company could have was effective leadership.  I firmly believed in that and it was my goal to drive that philosophy down to all employees – to develop everyone as a leader.  As part of that goal, I arranged to bring in speakers to address different areas and styles of leadership.

Since one of the important attributes of an effective leader is to have the proper mindset and team attitude, I immediately thought of asking Don if he would speak at one of our meetings.  I had been through several of Don’s SEAL Training Adventure weekends and was extremely impressed at how quickly the notion of teamwork is instilled – you either coalesce as a team to succeed or you fail miserably and pay the price.  It was a great microcosm of how the business world works and I remember thinking that if ten percent of the people at Chrysler could experience this event, the company would be unstoppable.  With this in mind, I asked Don to address our group and he gave an incredibly inspiring presentation entitled “Combat Mindset.”  As stated later in this note where I include an endorsement I wrote for Don after his presentation, I was a little concerned about the topic since the audience would be very diverse.  I thought it might come across as a little strong having this highly decorated former Navy SEAL talk about combat mindset.  My concerns were all for naught.  I had never received so many positive comments after one of our presentations than I had from Don’s.  I had women coming up to me after he finished stating that they wished Don had more time to talk (I believe he had an hour).  And quite honestly, I thought the women attending might provide negative feedback to my post-meeting survey.

I believe Don’s presentation had the most impact of any speaker I had invited.  People memorized parts of his presentation and others had posted some of his quotes on their office walls.  I just got off the phone with Chris Oppenlander, a former colleague of mine at Chrysler who still works there, and asked if he still had Don Mann sayings on his wall.  His response was “hell yes!” and he proceeded to read a few of them off (and this is six years after Don’s presentation).

I cannot say enough good things about Don and his presentation and how effective it was.  I think any group would greatly enjoy a presentation by Don and would benefit by hearing what he has to say.  He certainly has the credentials and has lived the experiences to be able to convey his topic with much authority and credibility.” - Edward D.MacDonald

“Don, among other things, was very inspirational and instrumental in helping me build my company modeled after his first company out of the SEAL Teams- Odyssey Adventure racing.

He is a remarkable speciman of Human Character and Endurance as well as a tremendous inspiration to many, many people. He is an unstoppable force in bringing back and building Leadership, Honor and Integrity to a country in sore dire, desperate need of these princepals”.

“Don,  I just want to say thank-you again. It was great to see you. When you were speaking (to the Washington Stealth Team)  you could’ve heard a pin drop and you could tell by the body language that everyone in the room was completely rapt! You give people a glimpse into a world that most cannot imagine. I do think there is a correlation to sports, even if they are warriors of a different kind.

Thank-you again for being so willing to come out on such short notice and rearrange your life to do so.”

-Denise Watkins
