The 2014 2nd Annual Ryan Job Navy SEAL Challenge to Benefit Camp Patriot

In 2006 Ryan Job, a Navy SEAL, was wounded and made blind while serving with his SEAL Team in Iraq. His military service has been documented in a number of books and films including the Best Selling Book, American Sniper. The book was written by Ryan’s SEAL Teammate Chris Kyle who dedicated it to him.

Ryan recovered from his wounds, married the woman of his dreams and with the help of Camp Patriot, a non-profit organization, climbed to the summit of Mt. Rainier. He passed from this world on September 24, 2009 due to a medical error after surgery to repair the wounds he suffered in war. Ryan left behind his pregnant wife, a daughter who he never met, and a grateful nation.

On Ryan’s birthday, March 11, 2014, athletes, SEAL teams, the CrossFit community, police, fire, supporters, and Ryan’s friends from around the globe will donate $10, $20, $100 or other amounts to perform the same training session that Ryan did to prepare for his summit climb of Mt. Rainier. All proceeds will be donated to Camp Patriot so that other wounded service members will be empowered with amazing outdoor therapy programs.

Together we will join in solidarity to honor Ryan’s legacy!
